East Harbor State Park Beach
East Harbor State Park has a stunning sandy beach. The Beach is public and is open during the summer months for swimming, fishing, tanning, and birdwatching. The beach is a destination for locals and camping guests. The beach features four break walls to make swimming enjoyable. This beach is shallow, it is 6 ft. or less deep. East Harbor Beach extends 1500 ft., having plenty of room for a lot of guests. There is a clean bathhouse available at the beach. Trees are lining the beach which make perfect shade during those hot summer days.
East Harbor Hiking Trails
The park features an extensive network of hiking and biking trails that wind through wildlife-rich woodlands. These well-marked trails offer a unique opportunity to explore the park’s diverse ecosystems while enjoying beautiful lake views. There are eleven trails available for use. Some of the hiking trails are adjacent to the wetlands, making them perfect options to observe wildlife.
East Harbor Camping
East Harbor State Park provides modern campgrounds and picnic areas, making it an excellent place for both day trips and extended stays. Whether you’re seeking a peaceful getaway with family or friends, the park offers the perfect setting for picnics, gatherings, and camping beneath the canopy of towering trees. Amenities included are a boat launch, beach, electricity, bathhouses, and hiking trails.
East Harbor Campground is the largest campground in Ohio. There are electric and n0n-electric sites available as well as ADA-compliant sites. There is also a Yurt available for rental that is ADA. Two cabins are available for rent as well, one being ADA-compliant. For large groups, there is group camping available. Reservations are required and can be made online or by calling (866) 644-6727.
