Ingredients

  • 4 (4 ounce) tilapia fillets
  • salt and ground black pepper to taste
  • ½ cup all-purpose flour
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 2 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted

Directions for Pan-Seared Tilapia

  1. Rinse and dry (with paper towels) the fish fillets
  2. Season both sides of each fillet with salt and pepper
  3. Coat each fillet in a thin layer of flour
  4. Coat bottom of pan with olive oil and set on medium-high heat
  5. Cook each fillet until they flake easily (roughly 4 minutes per side)
  6. Brush melted butter on the fillets
  7. Slice lemons and squeeze onto each fillet
  8. Add Thyme and Parsley to dish and serve
