One day, I hit the links at the South Bass Island State Park Golf Course with friends, and we had a blast challenging each other. The other islands protect the area making it nice. Getting your boat to the island is easy, just tow it on the Miller Ferry or drive it there. Once there you can launch it at the state park or rent a dock if you drive it there. If you reserve a dock, be sure to do it well in advance of your scheduled trip.

Kayaking and Paddleboarding

Put-in-Bay kayaking and paddleboarding offer a way to explore the island’s waters. Last summer, I rented a kayak with a group of friends and we spent the day paddling around the island, marveling at the stunning views and getting up close to wildlife like herons and other waterfowl.
